As the interest in E-sports and online gaming and dedicated streaming services are growing the realm of the gamer has never been more creative or profitable but still, it is a territory that is misunderstood.

In this project, Ellie has documented the diverse world of online gamers. Being renowned herself for her skills and profile on the Mario Kart scene. She understands this world; She belongs, She is an insider, giving us a glimpse of the competitive nature of some of the events and this counterpoints her images of a close community that is inclusive and supportive.

The images that have been produced looks at the people who inhabit this domain through the tournaments held in the UK and USA. We get to see them converse, compete and congregate at events that are taken very seriously and that can command large prize funds and more than this, the respect and reputation of the community.
